On June 5th we celebrated a wonderful Fundraising Day in Maryland with approximately 250 guests. Thank you to the Fundraising Day Committee and to committee co-chairs Mark Potter and Chris Knoerlein for a successful event! Both the morning keynote address from Ivelisse Page, executive director and co-founder of Believe Big, and the luncheon keynote address from Rebecca Hoffberger, founder and director, American Visionary Art Museum, were inspirational bookends to the event. The presentation of the 2017 Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser award to Raymond L. Bank introduced attendees to a man whose fundraising played a vital role in the growth of many Baltimore institutions.
A special thanks to Fundraising Day in Maryland’s presenting sponsor, Connelly & Associates Fundraising, LLC, and the many sponsors and exhibitors who helped make the conference and luncheon so successful.Looking forward, AFP Maryland’s Program and Membership Committees have many exciting and informative events planned for the summer and fall:
Finally, National Philanthropy Day, sponsored by Connelly & Associates Fundraising, LLC, will be held on November 17th. AFP Maryland will honor Mark & Patricia Joseph as Outstanding Philanthropists and the Kahlert Foundation as Outstanding Philanthropic Foundation at the luncheon. We will also recognize Unsung Heroes and Outstanding Youth Fundraisers.
I hope to see you at these events this summer and fall. Thanks for all that you do to advance philanthropy in Maryland!
