President's Message - May 2017
One of AFP Maryland's most exciting programs, Fundraising Day, is just around the corner! Presented by Connelly & Assoc. Fundraising , LLC, Fundraising Day will take place on June 5, 2017 at the Delta Hotels by Marriott, Baltimore Hunt Valley (formerly the Hunt Valley Inn) in Hunt Valley, Maryland.
Now is the time to register for Fundraising Day! Fundraising Day provides dynamic programming for fundraisers at all levels of experience and in all types of organizations. This annual event provides a full day of professional development on:
- Major Gifts
- Annual Giving
- Special Topics
- Masters’ Track (for professionals with 7+ years of experience; requires pre-registration)

The event will kick-off with a Coffee & Tea Networking event, hosted by AFP’s Membership Committee. This year, we are honored to announce the addition of two keynote speakers, Rebecca Hoffberger, Founder and Director, America Visionary Art Museum and Ivelisse Page, Executive Director & Co-Founder, Believe Big.
Registration includes continental breakfast, keynote addresses, educational sessions and the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser Award Luncheon. This is a great opportunity to network and sharpen your skills, whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned professional, full-time fundraiser or consultant!
